In my clinical practice, I get to meet the most extraordinary children...I'm very lucky! This image was inspired to me by an amazing young boy battling cancer. This kid is such a music lover who's favorite band happens to be Aerosmith ( quite eclectic for such a young child...not even in the teenage years !)
Wow...I was impressed since I've always been a big fan of Steven Tyler and Aerosmith myself.
I've created this image for him, for what he went through and for what all these children bring to my life everyday...

and after reading the story behind it, I am even more in love with it! My daughter was diagnosed with A.L.L at 3 1/2 years old. She is now celebrating her 16th year cancer free after being given a 30 % chance due to complications. She is now a mom herself of a beautiful daughter, and I am so grateful to the wonderful care of doctors and nurses everywhere who battle this terrible disease everyday! What a beautiful and inspiring piece!

Lynn...the story of your daughter is one to be told...it gives children and families going through similar things such hope...This is exactly why I do what I do...and it brings such richness to my life...as a nurse clinician...but also as a person...It's a real pleasure to meet you...and thank you for sharing your story...I have such admiration for families like yours..for having gone through such difficult times...you are the inspiration!!! thank you for sharing this with me...and for liking my image...!
